Matthew 5:18-19

For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear,

not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore, anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

We can see by this reading that the laws given by God to the Hebrews are to be kept until the end of the earth, but they are being drastically changed in our lifetime by those who think they know better than God what is best for us.

In Isaiah 5:20, 21 we read;

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.

Isaiah lived about 700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ. Isaiah was known as the Hebrew prophet who predicted the coming of Jesus Christ. Add another 2000+ years and yet again a prophecy of Isaiah’s is proving true. Isaiah is a wonderful book, one of the best of the prophetic books and worth reading.

Evil is raising its head in earnest. Every time we turn around another of God’s laws is broken by people who think evil is good and good is evil, what is truly chilling is that these folks are certain they are right, and God got it wrong in so many ways.

Even in the Christian community there are those who think it is time these laws were changed, who are we to believe, God or man? Sorry but I know whom I believe, and I am not afraid to believe Him always.

 Matthew 18:6 says,

‘If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung round their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Not only young in years but young in faith are being confused by those who would lead them into sin, knowing nothing of their Father in heaven. We have all heard the maxim,

        “All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. “

I would hazard a guess that there are enough ‘good men’ to make a difference if they chose to, but that might push their faith to the limit.

Prayer merciful Father, please forgive those of us who see and realise what is happening in the world today yet are scared to take the step of standing up for YOUR LAW, not mankind's definition of it. We know there is no truth but Yours and Jesus has told us that Your law would stand until heaven and earth disappear. Nothing could be plainer, yet at this time this is being ignored. Help us Lord God to go on believing Jesus’ word and following on His pathway. Protect those who are being led astray so they may not be lost, we leave them in Your powerful hands. We come to You through Your Son Jesus Christ and in His precious name. Amen.
