Thought for 14 January

Luke 22, verse 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail;  and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.   On Facebook there was one of those questions, something along the lines as “Who or what is helping you get through Lockdown?” There were the expected answers of family, children, grandchildren and friends.  What did I answer?  ME.  Why Me you may ask.   I would say I am an independent, strong character and feel that that strength has helped at this time.  Sometimes, like everyone else, I get frustrated, fed up and feel low.  But I am not alone, yes I am the one that gets me through the day but I wouldn’t be able to do this without FAITH.  In the verse Jesus is speaking to Peter before Jesus was arrested.  He knew even though Peter was probably the strongest of all his disciples that his faith may be tried.  He prayed that Peter would still have Faith and strengthen his brethren.   May you be strengthened in faith.
