Message from Rev Caryl Kyle Minister: Holytown l/w Wrangholm Parish Churches Advent Angel on the Shelf – Tuesday 1st December ‘In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee.’ (Luke 1: 26) Action: Look up where Nazareth is on a map and familiarise yourself with the region. Pray: Pray for the people of Nazareth today. Also you may wish to do this during Advent too: I know I will – this is a book I love! Greyfriars Church in Lanark has been given permission by the publishers of The Christmas Mystery by Jostein Gaarder to record videos telling the story. The story is an incredible retelling of the Christmas Story with mystery and is written specifically for December with a chapter for each day. It is a story suitable for all ages. Greyfriars will be publishing each day’s video at 7am on their YouTube Channel and Facebook – I am told you do not need an account to view either. The day’s chapter will be read by either my colleague Rev Bryan Kerr or by Savanna Kenny who is a trained actress and voice over artist who was living in New York until the pandemic hit and had to return back home to Lanark.
